Going to Hawaii!!!

... Where the sun shines and the sand is pure. Where the ocean is blue and volcanoes soar.

I am the luckiest girl on the planet and I have amazing friends. My friend Dana, who blogs over at Zen For Kids & My Life in Abundance has invited me on a trip with her to Hawaii!

I have never been to Hawaii and I am really excited to go there and relax, enjoy the island, and learn as much as possible. I will be sure to take tons of pictures and post them.

This weekend I am going to researching special things to do there that can't be done anywhere else... and possibly get ink?!

Type O Negative @ Terminal 5 WTF

WTF...

So after snooping around the internets this morning/ night.. I decided to read the Kroosh blog to see what she is doing this month music wise. She used Tourfilter on her blog to let people know what shows she was going to be attending. I had never used Tourfilter, so I signed up.

I might be late to the game but this is a seriously awesome site. You select your location and add some bands that you would like to track. It then recommends bands for you to track based on your selections. You can then see other users who are tracking those bands, add to RSS, get weekly opt in emails, and listen to mp3's. You can also sync it to your iCal. This is freaking amazing.


Because of this tool I was able to find out that my all time favorite band, Type O Negative, is playing at Terminal 5 (which is a really crappy venue) in a few weeks! I checked out tickets immediately, having seen this band over 10 times, and they are sold out... off to craigslist!

Say Goodbye to Dry, Damaged Hair

This weekend I helped out my friend set up her Out of The Box blog in exchange for a kick-ass website. I am so happy that I got this haircut for so many reasons. My friend took one look at my dry, damaged hair and said she wouldn't even keep a doll's hair this poorly!!

I really was neglecting my hair. My only worry was how blonde it was..but the constant dying (twice a month heavy dying) was frying my hair to the point that it started to singe at the ends. Sometimes just falling off and crackling.

She took a scissor and chopped and styled and I feel so free and fresh. I hope this feeling takes president over other aspects of my life as well. What a great hair cut for the summer and at temps like 100 degrees today, I couldn't be happier!!

Vacation in Fort Lauderdale, FL

I am currently in Southern Florida vacationing with my grandparents and my boyfriend. It is really warm down here which is perfect for running and tanning. It is a short trip but I have already made it to the pool and will be going to my favorite Florida beach tomorrow.


There is the Sex in the City premier tonight at the Drive in which I will also be attending. I am very excited.

However I am itching to get back to work. I feel like I have so much to do when I get back and it is already weighing on me.

How To Quit Biting Your Nails

After trying everything and nothing working for years and years, I have successfully quit biting my nails. I wrote a post about it after the first week and now I think I am more than a month in. I was a chronic nail biter and now that it over...

My secret?

I got a real job. A job where my professionalism and appearance help me to succeed. If I sat at my desk with my hands in my mouth I would not look very professional. If I don't look professional, I might not get taken seriously. Therefore my job is at stake.. if I don't have a job, then I will be broke.

So at risk of looking like an idiot with her hands in her mouth, I quit biting my nails!

Sunny Travels in May

As I wrote in my SEO and Social Media Blog, I will be in Los Angeles, CA for the Executing Social Media conference this week and I am very excited!

Then I will return to work and have some fun in NYC for Memorial Day Weekend. The next Weds I will hope on another flight going down to Fort Lauderdale where many people I love are! I will stay with my grandparents and soak up as much sun as possible.

I really want to go to my favorite beach, Pompano Beach. It is by far the most beautiful (shark free) beach in all of Florida!
