Cranberry Almond Oatmeal Cookies

Sometimes the urge to become Domestic Betty the Baker kicks in and I try to create my own healthy treats. This doesn't happen very often though because on most days I cannot even find the time to prepare a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

These Delicious "Cralmond Oatties" bake up really fast. Some of the ingredients include Cinnamon, dried Cranberries, Almonds, Maple Syrup,the usual cookie assets, and of course Love. :)

I topped these bad boys off with some confectionist sugar while they were warm and moist and but them in this container to stay moist.

Lets Hope the are Loved by my super hard critic.

Summer 2009

Back when I wanted to be a cinematographer and studied film, I learned that whenever water appears in abundance in movies it is actually a huge part of the story line and signifies CHANGE.

This summer has been "The Summer of Tears" thus far. Since mid June, it has been raining everyday. It is exactly like rainy season in Florida, one moment it is perfect and 80 degrees and the next it is a thunder storm and pitch black. Sometimes I wonder if the weather reflects the mood of the environment...

This summer has definitely been bittersweet. I have made some huge changes in my lifestyle and have been really committed to work harder, workout stronger, and live better. So far so good.
If the weather reflects our environment, then I can only hope it is going to brighten up very soon.

• Agency life has been getting a lot more rough as of recently.... but in a challenging way.

• Raph and I are going to be celebrating our first year entwined in each others lives next week.
• Michael Jackson, Farah Faucet, Ed McMahon.. all dead.
  
• Frozen 1 AKA Dana Weingart AKA my lil sister is going away to Oneonta college in a month.
  
• Raph is meeting the more and more of my extending family (weird but amazing).
• Liz AKA MyPopRoks is speculating a move to LA... which destroys me on a million different levels.
  
• My grandfather is going through treatment for Prostate cancer - successfully so far.
  
• I've re-given up Chicken and fowl - back to only eating fish.
  

With a year like this, I can only imagine what 2010 will bring.

TWTRCon & Your Mom - San Francisco '09

Right now, I am at TWTRCON. I am blogging... Go Figure. But I am also Tweeting.... A lot. There are sooo many fantastic speakers who I have written about and been a huge fan Girl of for years. Brian Solis being one of my favorites.

The most surprising was the Web 2.0 smarts of MC Hammer. He is such a smart guy. Definitely a pioneer for having been in the business and on the web for almost a decade.

I am taking a lot of Twit Pics that you can check out of the conference but also of San Francisco. This is still one of my most favorite cities in the world.

Thanks to the guys @ AMOG, this trip wasn't as lonely as I thought it would be. They took me out to dinner last night in Japan Town and the sushi was actually pretty amazing.

The one thing I find very interesting about the conference is that everyone here is ALL about Twitter. Every brand on Twitter is here, we all have the SHORTEST attention spans known to man. Our jobs are to have short attention spans.... so why is the conference from 7AM - 5AM with only 4 short breaks. My ADD is kicking in #HardCore!!

Really anxious to get on a red eye on @VirginAmerica (my new favorite airline ever) and suffer through Monday at work. Why did I do that to myself !! However, this day has been very beneficial. Meeting the people who run ground breaking Twitter Accounts has gotten me very excited to get back to work and try out some new things.

Memorial Day Weekend 2009

Raph and I are going on our first official getaway together to Florida. We are both in need of some serious relaxation by the beach and sun. I am really looking forward to it ! Even though it cannot be longer and more destination driven, it will still be a good primer for a bigger and better vacation.

So now, I am wondering... Should I make an itinerary ? Or should we go with the flow? I think in a situation like this one where we have both been to this location and really need to relax.... Maybe beach side every day is the plan.

Asics Are the BEST running Sneakers EVAR!

Today, my boyfriend and I went Spring/Summer shoe shopping at MJM Designer Shoes in Long Island. I desperately needed new running sneakers because my New Balance WT570 had over 600 running miles on them and started to give me ankle pain.

I had been researching Asics on my new favorite site, Zappos* for a few weeks and felt like they might be more affordable at MJM. I found these beauties (picture above) for only $45 !! On Zappos, the Asics Gel- Enduro 4 sneakers were $63.95. They feel amazing!! I chose a size 7 and the comfort is at a level I have never experienced.

The Asics web site is JAMMED PACKED with really valuable information to know when purchasing running sneakers. There are videos, blogs, Shoe fitting guides, brand updates, and news about the sport you might be interested in. This is definitely what a shoe brand website should be.

I am really looking forward to my first run! There will definitely be a blog post that details how the run went.

I have used Zappos in many case studies and examples when it comes to displaying the proper way for companies use Twitter and I had to keep track of what the site was doing. Since then, I have received a package at work every Tuesday.... Marc Jacobs !!

Bonding with Frozen 1 in Florida

During Passover, my family went to Fort Lauderdale to spend some time with my paternal grandparents. It was a really nice time and fun to spend time with my entire family. The weather was perfect for fun times.

We went to my favorite Floridian beach, Pompano. We ate ice cream. We went on Rollercoaster and Go Karts until midnight @ Boomers. We went to my fathers highschool meet up, reunion things, and we ate a lot of Matzoh.

The best part of the trip was spending a lot of time with my younger sister. Dana (Frozen 1) and I are 6 1/2 years apart and are finally finding that we have a lot in common. She is actually one of the coolest chicks ever. It is a little sad that she is going to be going away to Oneonta for college, but I am happy that we are getting closer.

I am really excited to move home to my family and spend the next few months getting closer to her and hanging out this summer before she goes away to school. Keep your eyes open for some new intense Sepia Sisters Action!

Im a cat lady!

The other day I realized that I have 6 Cats in my life... I live with 3 of them. I can now identify myself as a cat lady. However, my boyfriend can also identify as a "cat guy" as well. So, it hasn't taken away from my social life :)

1. Ish (Ishvara) = my personal cat, my number one buddy, chubby kitteh, Master of the "Super Surprise Sneak Attack", Originator of the "Confession Dress Obsession", Viral Video Star - ISHVARA
2. Moses - AKA Mo,AKA Kiedis, AKA Braindead, brother to Ish and Dylan, Raph's Favorite, the cute one, the shy guy, a fan of the "Confession Dress Obsession".... will always let other kittehs eat food before him ..
3. Dylan- AKA Pretty lady, the Mysterious Woman, sister to Moses and Ish, she is always plotting something against her brothers, she practices the "Confession Dress Obsession" and even though she always has her own agenda..she is always up for a good cuddle and must sleep on top of your head..
4. Tom - The talker, Raph's cat, Human stuck in a cat body, Loves to eat with his hands and sit in laps all day long. Also a Viral Video Superstar : Tom Loves Frozen1
   

5. Weenus - AKA Oliver, Ollie, big fat cat (he's not fat, just a large cat). The cat that costs $80 dollars a month to feed, spoiled, cat of my family, not very friendly to you if you don't feed him, needs to sit on top of a tall closet in an African Boombatta kitteh bed...

6. Moosey - A big talker, cat of my grandparents, lives on a farm in Pennsylvania, very friendly and just wants attention, loves to sit on a heated cat pad.
I never considered myself more of a cat person, compared to a dog person. I love all animals. One day I would love to get a dog, but for now I have my hands full.

What is the "Confession Dress Obsession"

I own a dress from Obsession. It is made of wool and it is black. I have it hung in my closet , however everyday one of the kittehs in my apartment will go into my closet and fetch the dress, pull it into the living room and massage it. No matter where I hide the dress, I come home to the dress on the floor. This has been a mystery for a very long time. I am very unsure why ALL three cats are obsessed with this dress... any suggestions??

Sugar Free Redbull Obsession

As spring is swinging in, I am preparing to get my running back up to speed. By April I would like to be running 6 miles every other day. My goal is 24 -30 miles per week. That is a lot of mileage on my body. To get back into the groove, I am going to need to fuel myself with some Sugar Free Redbull.

I am convinced that Sugar Free Redbull is not bad for you. It is loaded with a lot of the vitamins that I take on a regular basis. So what is the problem?

1. Redbull is expensive.
2. Redbull comes in many sizes?
   
3. Which is the best size for me to drink ?
4. Redbull is hard to buy in bulk?
   
5. Why is Redbull considered bad for you?
   
6. Why is Redbull on Twitter some dude from Brazil?
   

Buying RedBull in Bulk from Amazon is still expensive. For $39 + Tax and Shipping, I can buy 24 small cans of Sugar Free Redbull. Is this worth it?

Any other suggestions of how to buy this amazingly delicious drink in bulk are welcome!

She got more tattoos?

I swore that I wasn't going to get anymore. I didn't even want any more. But this little voice kicks in and you know what you have to do. Anybody who has tattoos knows this voice. It is the voice that says; "You will not rest until you have more ink in your body." I heard the voice, and I knew what had to be done.

This past winter was very significant for me. Not only did I learn how to snowboard and develop a new found appreciation for snow.. but I fell in love with a lot of things I never realized were there before. I feel that when times in your life become very important, they must be remembered by a tattoo. Therefore, my tattoo is of snowflakes.. and that is all you need to know.
